CUP: GLASTONBURY 1-5 COUNTRYMAN |

On a cold and bitter morning the Countrymen were well up for this Geoff Harvey Division 3 Cup tie, especially after last week's heated affair against the same opposition in the Tom Bell Trophy Quarter-Finals, which saw no less than eight bookings.
There were fine displays from a Countryman back four whose average age was 40-plus, and also from debutant goalkeeper Scott Rich, but it was Dan "Nice Hair" Bovington up front who was the player of the match with a hat-trick, with Jason Birch getting the other two goals.
In complete contrast to last week, it was a very friendly encounter with even Frankie (shrek) and Dave Little (who ate all the pies) being very well behaved.
The Countryman management would like to extend their thanks to their army of supporters for travelling the two miles in such wintry conditions.
