The return of key players for the Countryman brought a return to form, and a comprehensive win. From the first whistle the Countryman put the pressure on, and soon opened the scoring with Jason Birch scoring with a close range header. The Countryman midfield and defence took hold of the game and gave little outlet for Middlezoy adding to the first half goals with two from Dave Little, and Dan Bovington scoring before half time. A first half injury to Ben Birch meant a substitution for the second half, but this didn't change to positive nature of the Countryman's play. Dan Bovington completed a hat trick early in the second half finishing some fine approach play, but the best goal was saved for Steve Shephard scoring. a "Rooneyesque" volley into the top corner. Middlezoy created a few chances, with a saved penalty being their best, until with 5 minutes to go they scored a consolation goal after beating the offside trap. An emphatic result to partly erase the past two weeks performances.
