ARTILLERY WHB 3 ADMIRALS RESERVES 0 |
|
Artillery were really made to work all the way for this win by a strong and enthusiastic Admirals Reserves side. Artillery took the lead on 30 minutes with a strong run down the wing and a good cross by Eric May which fell to the feet of John Winter who made no mistake in finishing it off. The remainder of the first half stayed fairly even.
In the second half, Admirals managed to throw everything apart from the kitchen sink at Artillery. On 75 minutes Beaver May made a breathtaking save that left everyone astonished at how he kept it out! At 80 minutes Admirals were unlucky not to level it when the ball hit the post. In the last 10 minutes, Artillery managed to get their passing game back together, with good work from the midfield, and scored two further goals (Liam May - GO ON MY SON!)
Artillery's Man of the Match went, with no question, to Damien 'Stay on your feet' Kaye.
