HOMAN'S EASTOVER COMEBACK PUT ON HOLD

Former Coventry City reserve team player Neil Homan has informed his manager that his long awaited return from a bad knee injury has been delayed by a freak accident.

Homan, 38, who was Eastover Wanderers player of the year last season, originally injured his knee in the away match against Artillery during the last campaign.

Neil, a fork lift truck driver at local company Gerber Foods, recently slipped as he was climbing back onto his truck, jarring his knee. It is thought that his comeback match could now be the fixture on the 10th of October.

Our source at Eastover Wanderers had this to say: "Neil is a vital part of our overall team unit and his vast experience has been badly missed so far this season. The whole club is keeping its fingers crossed that the delay is not as bad as may be feared".
