Artillery maintained their 100% Uxella League record with a convincing 9-0 win over Tor Sports. Artillery's opening goal was from a 50-yard free kick, from Paul Jones. Further goals from Steve Jones, and a penalty from Jeff Read, made it 3-0. Artillery then conceded a penalty which "Beaver" May, showing off his new hairstyle, saved convincingly. Wayne Barrett scored two goals, taking Artillery to 5-0 at half time.
With Artillery leading 5-0 after half time, they realised they were lacking pace up front, so they brought on Brian 'Linford Christie" Read, fuelled by his kebab the night before! In the second half, it was more of an even contest with Tor Sports coming back into the game. However, Artillery scored a further four goals - Liam May scoring two, Pete Thompson scored one and Larry Mills, starting the attack from the half way line, played a neat one-two with Jeff Read, before passing the ball into the bottom corner of the net.
Artillery's Man of the Match was Paul Jones.
