The Countrymen welcomed back Chris Franks from injury, for their first home game for some time. However, it looked as though they were the away side for the first half hour as the Pig & Whistle team took early control of the game.
Pig's Mike Hart scored the opener with a shot from outside the area following a poorly cleared corner. The Pigs then continued their good spell of pressure with a further goal from Bob Smith to take a deserved 2-0 lead.
Countryman seemed to awaken soon after, with a near-post header from Chris Franks to bring them back into the game. A fine run from Adam Culliford resulted in a penalty just before half time, and was converted by Steve Shepherd to bring the scores level.
The second half started with the Countrymen putting some pressure on the Pig & Whistle's defence, however without success, wasting a couple of good chances in the process. Pig & Whistle countered with pace, and had a few good chances themselves towards the end of the game, with Ben Birch in the Countrymans' goal making some good saves.
Both teams remain well placed in the top half of the league.
