RESULTS ROUND-UP FOR SUNDAY 7TH DECEMBER 2008 |

Uxella League Division 1:
Flag Old Boys 1-3 Cannington
With an admirable display of "can do" attitude, these two sides were able to fulfill this fixture by switching the venue to Cannington's ground. Heralding the start of a new era under their new manager Martyn Allen, Flag made a promising start, taking a deserved 1-0 lead in at the interval after an Andy White strike. However, the second period then saw the game turn on its head when a 35-yard screamer from the "visitors" player-boss Darryl Taylor swung the momentum in Cannington's favour. The veteran striker then went on to hit his second before the three points were duly secured with a goal from his son Dean Taylor.
Maxwells 0-5 Pawlett United
Pawlett climbed to the heady heights of second in the table on the back of this comprehensive away win at the ROF Puriton. Their goalscorers were Will Pope, Daniel Stephens, Lee Turner, Ryan Williams and the irrepressible Will Beggs.
ALL other scheduled fixtures were postponed due to frozen pitches and/or fog.
