The two remaining Uxella League teams contested their Somerset Cup second round ties this weekend and now there is only one team remaining in the competition from the Bridgwater Sunday league.
L & G played host to Ring of Bells and went down 2-7 at home despite a strike from Lee Fury and an own goal.
Flag Old Boys fared much better and played out a classic cup tie with Ash Rangers before eventually winning 6-4 after extra time. Mike Taylor (2), Jamie Stewart, Danny Crossley, Andy White and Lee White were their goalscorers.
The First Division table now looks radically different at the top after a weekend which saw all results involving Commercial removed after that club announced their folding. This had a big effect on Tiger Old Boys points total as they had already beaten Commercial twice. To add insult to injury the Tigers then put on a well below par performance against a Railway Club side in fine form and paid the price as Railway convincingly won 6-3 after a hat-trick from Lewis Irish, a scorcher from Jamie Hosey and further goals from Nigel Gillard and from new signing Robert Trice. Tigers are now down to fourth.
Newly promoted Quantock Pride are now top of the league after a battling 4-4 draw away to old adversaries Maltshovel Sports. Paul Organ (2), J. Bennett and G. Monaghan scored for Maltshovel.
Maxwells go second in the revised table after a narrow 4-3 away victory at Grasshoppers '04. Mike Stone (2), James Leader and Mark Trowman from the penalty spot secured the points for the visitors. Chris Harman, Luke Morgan and Dean Dunn responded for the Hoppers.
Jekyll and Hyde side Red Tile turned on one of their masterclasses this time around as they ran out 7-1 victors over Pawlett United. Andy Smith bagged a hat-trick and was joined on the scoresheet by Rich Ball (2), Liam Evans and Neil Thompson.
Woolavington's revival continues as they won 6-1 away to Ashcott.
Meanwhile there were some key results at the top of the table in the Second Division.
Cannington opened up some clear blue water between themselves and Blake Old Boys after a 3-1 away win at Sportsman. Darryl Taylor, Josh Harvey and Rich Harvey scored for Cannington while Jack Taylor replied for Sportsman.
Blake could only draw 4-4 at Bower United but will reflect on a point gained as they trailed 4-0 at the interval but managed to achieve a fine second half comeback thanks to strikes from Kev Warre(2), Matt Milton and Shane Thompson. Bower stormed into their first half advantage thanks to Jon Harriott(2), James Leatherby and Jarrid Mackay proving in the process that they are very much in the hunt for the Division Two title this season.
Admirals leapfrog Blake into second place after a sixth straight win as they beat Huntspill 5-2 away. Stu Croker again bagged a hat-trick with John Doyle and Kev Andrews also on target. Andrew Kitch and Rob Kilduff replied for Huntspill.
Bridgwater Wanderers slip to fifth after something of an upset at Glastonbury Town's stadium where they lost 3-1 to Abbey Moor. Shea Speakman (2) and Jeremy Sharples scored for Abbey Moor.
Coxley Rovers won 3-0 at Ramblers.
In the remaining game in the second division Pawlett Reserves won 7-0 at home to Grasshoppers '05 after a four-goal salvo from Martin Milton and further strikes from Matthew Bain, Josh Speed and AJ Mountain.
