UNDER-STRENGTH TILE PUT IN GREAT PERFORMANCE |
|
After gathering together 11 players, a few far from fit, Tile put in one of the best performances of the season so far, playing against a very physical Admirals and coming out resounding 4-0 winners.
The game started at a frantic pace with James 'Hammy' Hamilton scoring inside a minute. Hammy went on to score a very impressive hat trick, the best being his third which was an all round great team goal, with slick passing and a clinical pass from midfield Maestro Ian Luke to set up Hammy to slot home.
Tile wasted numerous chances throughout the match and the score could have been doubled on a better day.
Ian Luke who was at his usual brilliance throughout, hit a shot from well over 30 yards, lobbing the keeper and unfortunately hitting the crossbar. This however only inspired Ian to lift his game even higher and eventually got his rewards by scoring late on.
The match was left on a sour note with the news that the much improved Justin Griffiths had broken his nose during the game, following a flailing elbow from one of the Admirals players.
Tile will look to continue this form against fellow strugglers Cobblestones next week.
