CROSS RIFLES 1 RAILWAY CLUB 3 |
|
It was one of those days where Cross Rifles could'nt find the back of the net. The Rifles had three one on ones, an open goal and a disputed penalty but the killer instinct like so many other matches this season just wasn't there. Railway club played an intelligent game adjusting accordingley in the second half to cope with Carl Jones' pace who must easily be the quickest player in the league. Our man of the match Chris Goodison stayed strong for the Rifles but Bob Abrams trickery and a well organised Railway Club saw them have the edge on the day. Richard Villis gave a good strong account of himself and deserved the maximum marks from us. I can only say that he was out of sight for the hand-ball for which we should of had a penalty. That's football for you.
