DIVISION 1:
Champions Tiger Old Boys put last week's shock Dave Hobbs Cup exit behind them to maintain their 100% Uxella League record with a 6-4 away win at Durleigh. For the second week running the Tigers found themselves up against an inspired opposition goalkeeper but eventually pulled clear of a determined Durleigh side with a superb individual hat-trick from Paul Atyeo, two good strikes from Lee Huntley and a fine individual effort from Paul Mear.
Despite a battling performance plucky Cobblestones went down 8-1 at Clearwater, for whom Wayne Spencer was the main man with four goals, Steve Spencer weighed in with a couple and Jim Livingstone and an own goal completed the rout.
Woolavington go second in the table on goal difference following a 2-0 away victory at Railway Club.
The games between Pig & Whistle and Red Tile and Admirals versus Cobblestones were both postponed.
DIVISION 2:
Tiger Old Boys Reserves also got back to winning ways in Division Two after their own cup defeat with an emphatic 10-3 home victory over Eastover Wanderers. Phil Coombes and Craig Palmer both bagged hat-tricks while Jamie Chillingworth and Leigh Hurford both struck twice to put the result beyond any doubt.
Despite a consolation goal from Tom Presley Woolavington Reserves went down 5-1 at Cross Rifles.
Black Horse ran out 6-2 winners at home to Ashcott with Andrew Burnett getting a cracking hat-trick to accompany individual strikes from Vince Kennedy, Liam Derrick and Ben Hobbs.
North Petherton were again held to a draw at home, this time 2-2 with Flag Old Boys. Mark Mantyk and Lee Chamberlain got on the scoresheet for the home side but Flag responded with strikes from Kevin Wheddon and Jamie Stewart.
Despite goals from Ryan Dray and Daniel Russell Cannington suffered another defeat, going down 4-2 at home to Huntspill Crowns.
DIVISION 3:
Richie Jennings's free-scoring Puriton United side continue to set the agenda in Division Three with an 8-0 away victory at ten-man Middlezoy. A hat-trick-a-piece for man-of-the-match Dean Taylor and also for Rich Harvey, whose triple strike included a 30-yard screamer, were supplemented by good headed efforts from Ryan Williams and from the Uxella League's leading marksman, Darryl Taylor, taking his league goal tally to eight in three games.
Bridgwater Grasshoppers went down 7-2 again, this time at home to a useful and youthful Sportsman side, for whom Steve Davis got two including a well-executed penalty. The other Sportsman goals came from the boots of Scott Clarke, Jordan Meaker, Dean Organ, Daryl Cocks and Mike Skidmore. The Grasshoppers replies included a third goal in three league games for Adam Kinsey and a rare strike from veteran stopper Brian Court.
The local derby between Glastonbury Town Sundays and Tor Sports saw Glastonbury emerge as 4-2 winners following strikes from Adam King(2), Dean Hunt and Sam Vincent. The Tor Sports goalscorers were Luke Weightmay and John Osman and their goalkeeper Jason Palmer distinguished himself by not just saving an initial penalty but also its re-take.
